Are you someone who…
...feels deeply and has been called 'too sensitive'? You struggle to balance caring for the world while protecting your own wellbeing.
...feels stuck in cycles of anxiety and self-criticism, exhausted by perfectionism, impacting your personal relationships or work life? You're ready to move beyond coping strategies that no longer serve you.
...feels at a crossroads in your identity and life direction? You're seeking clarity about who you are beneath old patterns and expectations.
...gives generously to others but struggles to extend that same compassion to yourself? You're seeking sustainable ways to process trauma and manage overwhelming emotions.
…hasn't found the depth of healing you're seeking through conventional therapy? You're drawn to approaches that address trauma, depression, and anxiety through multiple pathways.
If you see yourself in these descriptions, I'd love to hear from you and discuss how I might support your healing journey.
Psychedelic Art Therapy
offers therapy individuals looking to use tools like non-ordinary states of consciousness, somatic awareness, and the creative process for healing and insight. I work to help clients and providers find resilience, self expression, and more self compassion in a rapidly shifting world.
I work with creatives who are looking to channel their stress, anxiety, and perfectionism into vulnerability and authenticity. I also work with individuals to reconnect or discover their creativity. Outside of creative approaches, Somatic & mindfulness-based tools are offered to give clients tools that are easily integrated into their daily life.
Alyssa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon (#c7776)
I offer virtual sessions throughout all of Oregon and in-person sessions in Southeast Portland, Oregon.
How to work with me:
-
Benefits of art therapy may include the development of non-verbal forms of self-expression, trauma resolution, increased self-esteem, nervous system regulation, and stress management. Art materials can be used in the session, or prompts can be given to be completed outside of the therapy space.
I hold the belief that art is like a dream, a snapshot of some facet of the psyche, latent with imagery waiting to be decoded and integrated into one’s daily life. Art can also be a powerful tool for psychedelic integration, amplifying the healing powers of both practices.
There is no artistic experience necessary to engage in art therapy.
-
Having a somatic, or body centered approach in therapy involves a mindful awareness of one's felt-sense experience. This somatic view can create symptom reduction, self-compassion, or deepen self-awareness (known as Interoception).
This form of therapy is often experiential and present-moment based.
Essentially, we use varying tools to explore the difference between thinking and feeling.
Somatic practices take the form of experiential practices, creative practices, mindfulness, or weaving in tools from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Ketamine therapy is an emergent healing modality that pairs substances and the therapeutic environment to promote healing and personal insight.
Ketamine is a cutting edge treatment for depression, PTSD, and chronic pain. Research indicates that in moderate dosing, it supports our brain in re-wiring from depression, in addition to the innate healing that exists within consciousness expansion.

Drawing from my experience in psilocybin and MDMA clinical trials, I provide grounded support for individuals using psychedelics for healing outside traditional therapy settings.
I offer preparation services to develop safety tools, explore consent-based approaches, and build resources before your experience. I also provide integration support to help process and incorporate insights afterward.
My harm reduction approach delivers scientifically-backed, non-stigmatizing guidance for substance users, connecting you with community resources when available.
My goal is creating compassionate space for healing-oriented psychedelic exploration with professional support throughout your journey.
